Why X is metered
X is the only network we support that charges per post: $0.015 for a post, and $0.20 when the post contains a link. We pass that through as a monthly allowance instead of adding a surcharge.
Allowances are sized so the worst-case X cost stays under a quarter of each plan's price. Creator includes 60 X posts (10 with links), Pro 300 (12 with links), Team 700 (20 with links).

Frequently asked questions
Why does X have its own allowance?
X charges per post through its API: $0.015 for a post and $0.20 for a post that contains a link (docs.x.com pricing, checked October 22, 2026). Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn charge nothing. So each paid plan includes a monthly number of X posts, with a smaller sub-limit for posts with links. The Free plan doesn't include X. Putting the link in a reply doesn't help, because X bills the reply at the link price too.
What happens when I reach my X allowance?
Illumipost won't schedule more X posts that month and tells you why when you try. Your other networks keep publishing. The allowance resets each month. If you regularly need more, email us: we'd rather sell an X add-on than raise everyone's price.
What is an AI credit?
A rewrite, hashtag suggestion or alt text costs 1 credit. A draft from a prompt or URL costs 3. Adapting one post for every selected network costs 5. Repurposing one piece into 5 posts costs 10. Credits reset monthly and don't roll over.
What does "Unlimited*" scheduled posts mean?
There's no monthly cap on scheduled posts on paid plans, subject to fair use and each network's own limits (for example LinkedIn allows 150 posts per member per day). X posts are limited by your plan's X allowance.
Are limits per workspace or per subscription?
Per subscription. One subscription covers every workspace you own, and accounts, users, AI credits and the X allowance are shared across them.
What happens if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. If you're over the new plan's account limit, the newest extra accounts are paused until you upgrade again or disconnect others.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Payments and invoices are handled by Stripe.
Will prices change?
We give 30 days' notice by email before changing prices for existing subscribers.
